Cabarroguis, Quirino (15 September) -- This province's former Governor and first-term Congressman Dakila Carlo Enriquez Cua has promised to bring the services of the congress down to the grassroots level saying it is the essence of his being elected to the post.
Speaking before thousands of Quirinians at the 39th founding anniversary of the province, Cua said he has succeeded in bringing the services of the provincial capitol in his term as governor so there's no reason why he can't do the same now that he is already the congressman.
Cua fathered the "I Love Quirino" caravan project which brought much improvement in the province's health & nutrition, education, agriculture, livelihood and infrastructure development.
In the span of three years, Cua was able to cause the construction of farm-to-market roads, drying pavements, gymnasium in every barangay, health centers and barangay halls.
Through the effective implementation of the pro-poor projects and programs, the provincial government was able to uplift the health and nutritional status of the populace which eventually brought national awards such as Gawad Pagkain, Outstanding Implementer of Nutrition, Garantisadong Pambata and other awards.
Cua is optimistic that he will be able to exceed his accomplishments as provincial chief executive in his new mandate as congressman by passing legislations which will further empower the barangay folks.
"I encourage you to help me know your needs so we could address them properly, let us join hands together to achieve all our goals for the betterment of our province," Cua concluded. (PIA 2) [top]
