SPUD debate team bags awards in tourism grand debate

Dumaguete City (15 September) -- Members of St. Paul University Dumaguete's Paulinian Debate Society bagged the Best Speaker and Best Debater awards as well as the Best Debating Team during the recently-held Tourism Grand Debate at Foundation University on September 13.
Debaters Regina Clarina Elmaco and Eduard Joseph NArciso bagged the Best Speaker and Best Debater awards, respectively.
According to SPUD Director for External Affairs Rafael Arbon Duhaylungsod, the debate featured teams from Silliman University, SPUD, and Foundation University.
The debate's argumentations focused on the issue of tourism and biodiversity law enforcement, said Duhaylungsod.
Awards were also given to the following debaters: Julius Caesar Carballo (FU)-Best Rebuttal Speaker; Regina Clarina Elmaco (SPUD) - Best Speaker; Eduard Joseph Narciso (SPUD) - Best Debater; and St. Paul University- best Debating Team.
The debate tournament, sponsored by the FU School of Hospitality Management, was adjudicated by Dumaguete City Vice Mayor Allan Cordova and Youth Formator Dave Saceda. (PIA/rmn) [top]
