Tourism council seeks to come up with tourism jingle

Province of Siquijor (15 September) -- Local musical aspirants and enthusiasts are given the chance to show their ability through the first-ever Tourism Jingle Writing Contest spearheaded by the Provincial Tourism Council (PTC) here.

The contest is one of the activities of the 39th Siquijor Day Celebration aimed at coming up with the best output that can be used by the PTC office for tourism promotion of the province.

With the theme, "Promoting Tourism in Siquijor," the contest is open to residents of the province but with each municipality entitled to only one entry.

The entry must be in original composition in Visayan basing on the criteria for judging: lyrics (relevance to the theme) ? 30%; musicality (execution, over-all performance ? 35% and originality (creativity) ? 35%. All contestants with their entries must be at the Tourism Booth at the Capitol Mini Park not later than 9:00 a.m. For more details, please contact the PTC, c/o Provincial Tourism Office, Province of Siquijor.
