Blood-letting to highlight 110th Civil Service anniversary

By Alice Nicart

Borongan, Eastern Samar (16 September) -- A province-wide blood-letting is set to be done on September 23 at the Provincial Capitol Lobby as one major activity of this year's celebration of Philippine Civil Service 110th Anniversary.

Entitled "Dugo Mo, Buhay Ko", the project is sponsored by the provincial government thru Governor Conrado B. Nicart, Jr. and Civil Service Commission (CS), Eastern Samar with Director Emmanuel L. Fuentes.

In a letter, Dir. Fuentes asks the support of all provincial and national employees to send at least five donors for each office to the said blood-letting activity. The letter adds that prospective donors will be screened, free of charge by the personnel of the Eastern Samar Provincial Hospital.

Fuentes assured that all the amount of blood which would be extracted from generous donors will be exclusively allotted for patients of the province specially that Dengue cases have remained uncontained.

This year's CS anniversary is anchored on the theme: "In a RACE to serve: Advancing Responsive, Accessible, Courteous and Effective Public Service". (PIA-Eastern Samar) [top]
