DTI Zambo Norte launches modified NERBAC office
Dipolog City (23 September) -- A modified National Economic Research and Business Assistance Center (NERBAC) was launched recently at the provincial office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
NERBAC is created by virtue of Republic Act 7470 which aims to provide existing and prospective entrepreneurs/investors with the basic information of various business options that are open to them in accordance with the investment priorities of the government.
The center, which is located right at the DTI provincial office here, is composed of eight member-agencies involved in business registration and licensing such as the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Social Security System (SSS), PAG-IBIG fund, Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), the city government of Dipolog and DTI.
The services offered include business name registration, business consultancy and giving of registration forms/requirements for registration with PhilHealth, SSS, PAG-IBIG, BIR and the city government.
With this, it is expected that processing of business registration, licenses and permits will now become easier and faster for businessmen.
A regular meeting with member-agencies will also be conducted to assess and validate the operations of the center, and to propose measures to enhance the same. (DTI-ZN/PIA-ZN) [top]
