PhilHealth rallies liaison, information officers for National Registration Day
Iloilo City (24 September) -- Liaison as well as information officers of about 138 local government units in Western Visayas were urged to help campaign for the PhilHealth National Registration Day on October 2.
PhilHealth 6 Public Relations Officer Lazaro Tabsing said they believe these LGU officers when thoroughly oriented on the PhilHealth programs, memberships and benefits, can help their clients effectively avail of their health care services.
He said information officers are communicators of Philhealth services so that all filipinos can avail assistance for their health needs. in fact, each LGUs are expected to have a Philhealth corner for Philhealth updates.
In a gathering of liaison and information officers, PhilHealth Officers and Specialists said they are mobilizing all their Provincial Service Offices all throughout the region to accommodate registrants.
Lourdes Diocson, Chief, field Operations Division said, there are six identified registration centers namely, the ABL Stadium in Aklan, PhilHealth Service Office in Antique, Governor?s Hall in Capiz, the Guimaras Gym the Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Hall in Bacolod City and at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol.
PhilHealth Regional Vice President Marilyn Geduspan said these centers will be manned by PhilHealth Staff to attend to the registration and inquiries thru online system during the event.
"These centers are big enough to accommodate the expected big number of registrants who will come," Tabsing said.
The PhilHealth National Registration Day, dubbed "PhilHealth Sabado, Magseguro, Magparehistro" is a joint venture of the DOH, DSWD, DILG, DEpEd, PCSO, League of cities, Municipalities and Provinces, the Anti-Poverty Commission.
