Negros Occidental receives P1.1-M assistance from Popcom
Bacolod City (24 September) -- The Population Commission (PopCom) turned over a check worth P1.1M to the provincial government of Negros Occidental for the Responsible Parenting Movement and Natural Family Planning Program of the province, recently.
The turn-over was led by PopCom Regional Director Vicente Molejona.
Present during the turnover were the population program workers of the 19 municipalities, and officers of the six districts of the province, who also discussed with Gov. Maraņon their programs and projects.
Population Program Officer Dina Dumadia of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, said the funds will be allocated for the trainings of married couples of reproductive ages for them to be healthy members of the community.
Since 2007, a total of P3.8-million were already released by the Population Commission through the PopCom Region VI. (Capitol News/PIA/cad) [top]
