Hospital equipment and supplies donated to Himamaylan City
Bacolod City (24 September) -- The Valeriano M. Gartuslao Memorial Hospital (VMGMH) in Himamaylan City received equipment and supplies worth P5-million donated by the Rotary District 6110, Medical Supplies Network, Inc. and the Shiraki Foundation of the United States of America in collaboration with the St. Scholastica's Bacolod Alumnae Foundation, Inc., in a turn over ceremony held recently.
Included in the donation were operating room lights, panoramic x-ray system, laryngoscope, metal storage shelf, digital blood pressure monitors, infant cribs with mattresses, electric and manual hospital beds, adult resuscitators, transport stretchers, and medicines, among others.
The underprivileged and indigent patients will benefit most from the donations.
Himamaylan City Mayor Agustin Ernesto G. Bascon expressed his gratitude to the donors as it is a big help to the people not only in Himamaylan but to the neighbouring towns and cities who need the services of the hospital.
The VMGMH is under the supervision of the Economic Enterprise and Development Department of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental. (Capitol News/PIA/cad) [top]
