CSC invites participants to gender sensitivity seminar

Tacloban City (September 24) --n its effort to equip employees with proper attitude, knowledge, and skills to be able to respond to personal gender issues, mainstream gender and development in one's workplace, once again the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Regional Office No. VIII will be conducting a one (1) day live-out training on "Gender Sensitivity Seminar". The seminar which is scheduled on October 14, 2010 will be held in Tacloban City.

Relative to this, CSC is inviting government agencies and other interested parties to send participants to said training. A training fee of Nine Hundred Pesos (P900.00), which may be sourced out from local and national funds shall be collected from each participant to defray the expenses for venue, handouts, training materials and other incidental expenses.

According to CSC, for participants who intend to pay the registration fee through check, said check should be made payable to the Civil Service Commission, Regional Office No. 8, Palo, Leyte.

It was also learned that since the conduct of the training will depend upon the number of participants, the agency of the nominated participant who did not actually attend the training shall be charged for a reservation fee for costs incurred.

Interested parties may fill up a nomination form available at the CSC which may be forwarded to said office on or before October 9, 2010. For reservation and additional information, one may call the Civil Service Commission at telephone numbers (053) 323-2962 or 524-9180.
