No "jueteng" in Ilocos Sur - police

Camp President Quirino, Bantay, Ilocos Sur (24 September) -- Ilocos Sur police director Senior Superintendent Eduardo Dopale confirmed Thursday that no "jueteng" game exist in the province.
He said that their campaign against illegal gambling particularly jueteng is continuing as they are closely monitoring all towns in the province.
"Actually, we are closely monitoring all towns in the province and even the boundaries of Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte, including Abra if there are roaming "kabos" or jueteng collectors but, fortunately, no one is arrested yet," Dopale said.
He told that all his chiefs of police have already been on heighten alert against any form of illegal gambling activities in the different towns in the province even before the issue of jueteng was brought out. (PIA Ilocos Sur) [top]
