Calamba City (9 November) -- The City of Santa Rosa is among the recipients of this year's Consistent Regional Outstanding Winner in Nutrition (CROWN) award during the National Nutrition Awarding Ceremony held on November 4, 2010 at the Philippine International Convention Center.

The award is given by the National Nutrition Council to Green Banner Awardees that has maintained good performance in managing their local nutrition plans within three (3) years. The City is a Green Banner awardee for three (3) consecutive years since 2007.

"Through the city's innovative programs for nutrition, and proactive Barangay Nutrition Scholars, the City of Santa Rosa was able to maintain its Green Banner award for three (3) consecutive years since 2007," Catindig added.

The CNO also partners with non-government organizations. Among the partneship's output is a livelihood, training program that includes; dishwashing soap making, perfume making, beads assembly, meat processing, paper folding (bag making), culinary/baking, candy making, hair science, and reflexology.
