Magallanes flyover re-opens to trucks, heavy vehicles
Makati City (9 November) -- Trucks and heavy vehicles were once again allowed to pass through the Magallanes flyover on Tuesday after being affected by the pipeline leak and drilling for a week.
According to a report by radio station dzBB, only the innermost lanes were opened to the heavy vehicles but despite this development, vehicular traffic in the vicinity ramained slow moving for the remainder of the afternoon.
Since last week, the flyover was closed to trucks, buses and heavy vehicles due to excavation work in order to find sources of the leak in the pipeline belonging to the First Philippine Industrial Corp. (FPIC).
On Monday, at least five pea-sized holes, believed to have caused the petroleum leak, were discovered by excavation crews within the vicinity of the Magallanes flyover. (PIA-MMIO) [top]
