Negros police conducts physical fitness test
Bacolod City (9 November) -- Police officers from the Special Training Unit of PRO6 in Iloilo City recently conducted the physical fitness test (PFT) for police personnel of provincial office, city police office, 6RPSB and RTS6 held at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City.
According to Police Inspector Reina Protacio of NOPPO Public Information Office, PFT is conducted every semester to evaluate the physical condition of PNP members in terms of stamina, strength, speed and agility.
Prior to the fitness test proper, personnel have undergone the medical check-up conducted by the Regional Health Service Team.
Waistline and weight were checked and those who were above 30 years old were required to submit ECG results.
PNP personnel performed several exercises including pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups, 100-m sprint and 3 km run.
Personnel who will fail in the PFT for two consecutive periods or four cumulative period maybe subjected for attrition in the police service.
Protacio added that the PFT will be conducted until November 13 to facilitate all police officers in the province.
The activity is in line with the PNP Integrated Transformation Program in attaining a highly capable, effective and credible police service. (NOPPO/PIA/EAD) [top]
