Tagum City launches 2nd wave of employees' sportsfest

Davao City (10 November) -- The City Government of Tagum through the City Human Resources Management Office launches the 2nd Employees' Sportsfest under a Theme "Paugnat sa Kusog: Pamaskong Handog ni RTU sa Empleyado" which was formally kicked-off on November 5, 2010

Participated by nineteen (19) Departments of the City Government of Tagum with other National Line Agencies, have three games being set for the Sportsfest; i.e. Volleyball (Men and Women) composed of eight (8) clusters, Bowling with eighteen (18) clusters and Dart (Men's Double and Women's Single).

The tournament promotes and develops social awareness in sports through integral community development by actively participating and building camaraderie in a harmonious relationship among employees through these sport events.

The Local Chief Executive Mayor Rey T. Uy believes that sports develop patriotism, nationalism and encourage employees' involvement in public and civic affairs as it helps accelerate social progress in the promotion of total human liberation and development.
