Tagalog News: NAIA security mas hinigpitan sa pagdating ni Clinton

Manila (10 November) -- Mas mahigpit na seguridad ang pinaiiral ngayong Miyerkules ng umaga bilang paghahanda sa pagdating ni dating United States President William "Bill" Clinton.

Ayon sa ulat, ilang oras bago ang pagdating ni Clinton (bandang alas-11 ng umaga), maagang nakipag-ugnayan ang ilang tauhan ng US Embassy sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) para sa seguridad ng dating pangulo.

Darating si Clinton mamayang tanghali lulan ng isang pribadong jet na kaagad din magtutungo sa isang private hangar sa general aviation area.

Nilinaw naman ng ilang security personnel sa paliparan na dahil din sa pinaigting na seguridad, ipinagbabawal sa mga taga-media ang ilang piling lugar sa NAIA. Bukod dito, bawal din kunan ng video ang pagdating ng dating US president.

Kaugnay nito, mas mahigpit din ang seguridad sa Manila Hotel kung saan nakatakdang magbigay ng lecture si Clinton na pinamagatang "Embracing Our Common Humanity" mamayang alas-4 ng hapon.

May mga naka-poste na ring K-9 bomb squad at X-ray machine sa lobby ng makasaysayang hotel. (PIA-MMIO) [top]
