Tagalog News: 13 mga kabataan mapalad na tumanggap ng scholarship sa ilalim ng OFWDSP

Koronadal City (10 November) -- Pinalad na makakuha ng scholarship ang labintatlong mag-aaral at dependent ng mga Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) na mga residente ng lalawigan ng Cotabato.

Ayon kay Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) XII Regional Director Abdulgani Umag ang mga mapalad na estudyante ay ang mga napiling beneficiaries ng OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (OFWDSP).

Bahagi ng scholarship package na tatanggapin ng mga OFW dependents ang financial assistance na P20,000 kada taon o P10,000 bawat semester.

Ayon kay Umag, ang OFWDSP ay bahagi ng hakbang ng OWWA na makatulong sa mga dependents ng mga OFWs na tumatanggap lamang ng hindi bababa sa US$400 bilang sahod sa pagtatrabaho sa ibang bansa.

Ang napiling scholars ay nagmula sa mga bayan ng Matalam, M'lang, Makilala, Arakan, Alamada, Midsayap at tatlo mula sa Lungsod ng Kidapawan. (ac agad PIA 12/with reports from rhod benez) [top]
