Tagalog News: PNA isinailalim sa superbisyon at kontrol ng PIA

Manila (10 November) -- Sa patuloy na pagsisikap ng Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) na mapag-isa ng mga media assets ng gobyerno at ma-streamline ang media operations ng pamahalaan, inilipat sa Philippine Information Agency ang functional at operational operations ng Philippine News Agency (PNA).

Sa PCOO Order No. 10 na pinirmahan ni Secretary Herminio "Sonny" Coloma, inutos nito ang paglilipat ng pang-araw-araw na operasyon ng newswire agency ng pamahalaan.

Mananatili naman sa mother-unit nito na News and Information Bureay (NIB) ang disbursement ng sahod, at maintenance and operating expenses ng PNA.

Kasabay ng paglabas ng naturang order, itinalaga ni PIA Director-General Jose Fabia si PIA Deputy Director-General Virgilio Galvez bilang supervising officer ng PNA. (DE Doguiles/PIA 12) [top]
