DAR to hold groundbreaking ceremony for various projects in Zambo Sur
Zamboanga City (18 November) -- Farmers will soon enjoy easy access to market outlets and assured of higher household income with the completion of road projects in agrarian reform communities.
The Department of Agrarian Reform will conduct a Groundbreaking Ceremony of ARCP2 projects today to include 0.93 km. road construction in Dumingag; 9.048 km. road rehabilitation in Josefina and 11.1690 km. road rehabilitation in Tambulig, all in the province of Zamboanga del Sur.
Engr. Raymundo B. Bernardo, Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer and Provincial Project Manager of ARCP2 said this is a very great and laudable activity, revealing a strong collaboration and initiatives invested by the ADB, NPCO, DAR and LGUs as well as other stakeholders.
The projects, when completed will address the priority needs of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) and other farmers in the Agrarian Reform Communities (ARCs), Bernardo added.
The said activity is a manifestation of the huge support and commitment of ARCP2-NPCO for its funding assistance and the LGUs for project counterpart and sustainability.
Members of the media and other stakeholders have been invited to the activity to encourage as well as challenge DAR officials and Local Project Offices (LPOs) and other local implementers to deliver the desired realistic output which will really uplift the economic condition of our poor constituents.
