A. Lista police joins community in civic activities

Alfonso Lista, Ifugao (20 November) -- The Police Station here bagged the title as best police station in the province by religiously performing their police duties while supporting civic activities in the different barangays.

Police Inspector Alex Guihubon Kimayong, the chief of police here said that they had been very active and religiously performing their police duties and very supportive to civic activities. As a result, we have gained the support of the community and built a harmonious relationship with the other government agencies and the community as well, Kimayong said.

Among the civic activities that the police implemented is the beautification of the of San Quintin Elementary School.

"Together with the community, we cleaned, painted the stone wall and flower gardens, rip rapped and fixed the flower boxes around the school," Kimayong said. After the two days civic activity, the school became more beautiful and pleasant as a learning center and impressive to any visitor who wishes to drop by, he added.

Moreover, in terms of preserving nature and disaster readiness, the Alfonso Lista police conducted clean-up drive at the shore of Magat River. This activity was in line with the observance of the International Coastal Cleanup in October. (PIA-Ifugao) [top]
