PDEA nabs suspected drug pusher in Iligan City
Cagayan de Oro City (20 November) -- In the culmination of the Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Week Celebration, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Regional Office 10 through the leadership of Regional Director, Lt. Col. Edwin F. Layese (Ret) conducted a buy-bust operation in coordination with army's 43rd Infantry Battalion, 8ID, at Iligan City today, November 19, 2010.
Suspected pusher was one (1) Arlyn Ganaden Y. Rimpa, female, 35 years old, married, residing at Purok 3, Saray, Iligan City.
The suspect is included in the target listed drug personality in National Drugs Information System (NDIS).
The pusher was arrested after selling one (1) pc heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu to a poseur-buyer PDEA undercover agent.
Recovered from her possession and control were three (3) pcs heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, one (1) pc lighter and one (1) used rolled aluminum foil.
Arrested suspect is now temporarily detained at PDEA Regional Office 10 for booking and documentation while drug and non-drug evidences were brought to PNP Crime Laboratory for a thorough examination.
Case for violation of RA 9165 is now being prepared for filing appropriate charges in court. (PDEA 10) [top]
