Pinoys urged to study law, business in Spain
Manila (26 November) -- The Instituto Empresa (IE), a prestigious university based in Madrid, is encouraging Filipinos to take bachelor or master's law degrees in Spain.
IE, which has international law programs taught in English, has an agreement with the Instituto Cervantes based in Manila to offer Master of Business Administration (MBA) scholarships in Spanish.
The Madrid institute was a recent participant at the Manila Peninsula Hotel of the QS Grad Fair & Law Forum last November 20 and at the QS MBA Fair last November 17. The institute said it had been the first time that there was a dedicated law section in the fair that might be of interest to Filipino lawyers.
Earlier on October 16, the institute conducted an event at the Makati Shangri-La on customer relationship management called IE MasterClass, with Prof. Martin Boehm as resource speaker.
Dr. Boehm is recently the Dean of Master in International Management of the IE Business School, after serving for two years as its Dean of Undergraduate Studies from 2008 to 2010. Concurrently, he is also its Professor of Marketing since 2006.
He holds a Ph.D. in Marketing at the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe?Frankfurt University in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, as well as a BA in International Business at the Hochschule Reutlingen (Reutlingen University) in the southern German state of Baden-Württemberg.
Moreover, he holds an MBA at the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship (AGSE), the graduate business school at the Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Victoria in Australia.
