Padre Pio Home for Children now DSWD accredited
Davao City (26 November) -- NGO Accreditation Director Ester A. Versoza of DSWD presents the Accreditation Certificate to Padre Pio's Home for Children, Inc. represented here by six by nuns of the Apostles of Jesus Crucified. The group gratefully recognizes with pride its partnership with DSWD which has helped them build a better center and enabled them provide quality service to their children-clientele.
The certification serves as a proof that the Social Welfare NGO delivers the basic programs and services that are within the standards set by government through DSWD. The DSWD, through its regulatory function provides the standards and guidelines that govern the service delivery by the NGOs to ensure that the goal of uplifting the well-being of the disadvantaged is achieved.
DSWD-accredited NGOs along with the social welfare offices of local government units have been organized by DSWD into Area-Based Standards Network or ABSNet.
