Butuan City cops arrest wanted person

Butuan City (26 November) -- One Akihito Rubio y Alburo, 52 years old, married and a resident of P-1, 1st Street, Pareja Subdivision, Brgy. Bayanihan, Butuan City was arrested by elements of Butuan City Police Station (BCPS) 3 led by PO3 Suralta at around 7:00 O'clock in the morning of November 25, 2010 at the abovementioned place.

Said person was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Edgar Manilag, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 33, Hall of Justice, Libertad, Butuan City, charged fro the crime of Estafa docketed under criminal case number 14511 with recommended bail bond of P16,000.00.

Arrested person was properly turned-over to the issuing court and further released after posting the required bail bond.

Report on militant activity

Militant group led by Athel Hijos conducted caravan rally on board an Isuzu elf truck with plate number UNU 565, around 9:45 in the morning of November 25, 2010 in celebration with the International Day of Action to end Violence Against Women. Said group were converged at Butuan City Museum, Doongan, Butuan City and start passing J. Rosales Street to main thoroughfares of Butuan City.

Said group aired the following issues: stop violence against women, justice for women and children who were victims of violence, justice for the victims of Ampatuan Massacre and stop extra judicial killings. Said caravan rally were participated by more or less twenty (20) persons and ended at around 12:00 O'clock noon of same date with no untoward incident happened.

Report on CTs atrocities

On November 24, 2010 at around 4:34 in the afternoon, a certain Pedro Olvis, of legal age, Barangay Captain of Brgy. Anahaw, Tago, Surigao del Sur reported to Tago MPS that the banana plantation owned by DOLE company located at Sitio Saguinza and Sitio Kabalawan of the said Brgy. were destroyed/cut by undetermined number of fully armed men believed to be members of CTs/NPA. Twenty two thousand (22,000.00) fuly grown banana plants were destroyed by the said group.

Elements of 23rd IB, PA led by Sgt. Eddie Hiran and SCAA personnel of 36th IB, PA led by Cpl. Ramas conducted hot pursuit operation, which resulted to a firefight against said group for about five minutes. No casualty on the government side while undetermined on the enemy side. Estimated amount of damage is more or less eleven million pesos (P11,000,000.00). Elements of Tago MPS are now conducting thorough investigation on the said incident.

Report on shooting incident

Certain alias "Dodong" Malinab, 20 years old, single and a resident of P-2A, Sitio Kulog, Brgy. Sinobong, Veruela, Agusan del Sur was shot to death by unidentified suspect, using unknown caliber of firearm, around 8:05 in the evening, November 23, 2010 at P-3 of the said Brgy.

Victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body, which resulted to his instantaneous death. Suspect fled towards the forested area of the said place after the incident.

Elements of Veruela MPS conducted follow-up investigation for possible identification and apprehension of the suspect.

Report on stolen motorcycle

One Honda Bravo motorcycle, color black with plate number 9394, chassis number KVM10018237, engine number KVM10E018240, owned by a certain Michael Allan Vallecer y Socorro, 24 years old, single and a resident of 580, Narra Road, Brgy. JP Rizal, Butuan City was carted by unknown suspect while it was parked in front of their residence on November 25, 2010.

At around 12:30 in the morning of November 25, 2010, the victim discovered that said motorcycle was stolen, immediately, he reported said incident to Butuan city Police Station (BCPS) 1.

Elements of BCPS 1 are still conducting follow up investigation for the recovery of the said stolen motorcycle. (PNP-13/PIA-Caraga) [top]
