QCPD awards LGU, police personnel

Quezon City (30 November) -- Mayor Herbert Bautista led government and police officials in handing out citations for their invaluable support to the local police in simple rites held at the Camp Karingal yesterday during the 71st Founding Anniversary of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD).

With the theme "Serbisyong Huwarang Bayan sa paggunita ng ikapitumpu't isang taon ng matuwid at matapat na paglilingkod sa mamamayan ng Lungsod Quezson," Bautista and Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte were cited for their continuing support to the operation of QCPD in terms of logistics and financial matters in its continuing fight against lawlessness.

Aside from Bautista and Belmonte, Secretary to the Mayor and Head of Novaliches District Center (NDC)Tadeo Palma, was acknowledged in a separate ceremony at the Quezon City Sports Club for his great contribution and support in police operations against illegal vendors in the Novaliches area.

The city government's Public Affairs and Information Services Office (PAISO) headed by Gregorio Banacia were also among the recipients of special recognition for its effort in bringing QCPD closer to the people for its intensified coverage of police activities strengthening the partnership of the force with the community.

Other individuals who were recognized were Pastor Alberto Genon of the Jesus Christ Saves Global Outreach; Mar. Carlito Bernardino, chairman of Barangay Bagbag; Mr. Eduardo Villareal, EX-O, Barangay Security development Officer (BSDO) of Barangay bagbag; and Mr. Albert lagman, President of Association of Quezon City Homeowners Incorporated (AQCHI).
