Physical injuries top Iloilo City's index crimes

Iloilo City (30 November) -- Physical injuries with 9 incidents recorded topped the list of some 22 index crimes that occurred in this city from November 22 to 28, 2010, according to the Iloilo City Police Office.

The ICPO summary of daily index crimes showed that out of the 22 index crimes or crime against persons or properties, 9 are physical injuries, 7 theft, 5 robbery, and 1 murder. No index crime was reported on November 26.

On the other hand, the Iloilo Police Provincial Office has recorded a total of 14 index crimes that took place in the province during the same period.

Of the total crime incidents, 4 were classified as murder, 4 as frustrated murder, 3 as frustrated homicide, and 3 as robbery, according to the IPPO summary of daily index crime from November 22 to 28.

Reported incidents took place in the municipalities of Estancia, Pototan, Lemery, Dumangas, San Dionisio, Anilao, Lambunao, Dingle, Maasin, Oton, Pavia, Guimbal, Barotac Nuevo and San Miguel.

Suspects in offenses that occured in Estancia, Pavia, Guimbal, Barotac Nuevo and Dumangas are now detained in the police stations of these municipalities.
