Search for COPS starts
Manila (3 December) -- The Metrobank Foundation's search for the Country's Outstanding Policemen in Service (C.O.P.S.) is on.
The annual search is a joint undertaking of the Rotary Club of New Manila East and the Metrobank Foundation, implemented in close coordination with the Philippine National Police.
The prestigious award is given noble men and women in the service in recognition of the shared responsibility between the police and the community. Four commissioned officers and six non-commissioned officers are chosen and given this award.
Established in 1979, the Metrobank Foundation is the corporate social responsibility arm of the Metrobank Group founded by its chairman Dr. George S.K. Ty with the theme Excel, Engage, Empower.
Over the years, Metrobank Foundation has promoted a culture of excellence among Filipinos through its various programs, such as the C.O.P.S., Search for Outstanding Teachers, Metrobank Art and Design Excellence, The Outstanding Philippine Soldier, the Metrobank Math Challenge and College Scholarship Program.
The Foundation also engages its partners and awardees in different activities geared towards giving back to the society. Through these initiatives, the Metrobank Foundation empowers its awardees and partners to become better citizens of the community.
