Emano forms grievance body to look into workers' gripes
Cagayan de Oro City (6 December) -- City Mayor Vicente "Dongkoy" Emano has formed a body that will look into the grievances aired by City Hall employees.
This after Mayor Emano recently issued Executive Order No. 066-2010, creating the City Government Grievance Committee of Cagayan de Oro.
Community Affairs Division Chief Raul Sabuero was named as committee chairman, with City Accountant Wilma P. Rugay, City Assessor Atinodoro Asequia, Dante Beja and Evangeline Edrote as members. City Personnel Officer Adriano Lumagsao, Jr. serves as the Committee Secretary.
Among the duties and functions of the grievance committee is to develop and implement pro-active measure and activities; and conduct counseling and human resource development interventions.
It is also tasked to conduct dialogue between and among parties involved; investigation and hearing within 10 working days from receipt of the grievance and render a decision within five days after the investigation.
Aside from documentation and signing of written agreements, the committee shall also submit a quarterly report on its accomplishments and status of unresolved grievance to the Civil Service Commission regional office. (City Information Office) [top]
