Office of Ombudsman spearheads Oplan Red Plate
San Jose, Antique (6 December) -- The Office of the Ombudsman in the Visayas spearheaded the conduct of Oplan Red Plate in Region 6.
On Saturday the Task Force was in the Province of Antique to conduct checkpoints in three major exit points resulting to apprehension of more than 10 government vehicles.
Among the violations noted are, travelling with no plate, no trip ticket, expired registration, no driver's license and no markings that the vehicle is a government property and it is for official use only.
The Investigators from the Office of the Ombudsman emphasized that the Oplan Red Plate was conducted to raise public awareness and enforce government regulation that government vehicles are strictly for official use only.
Official Travel should have trip tickets and the driver should have valid driver's license and vehicles are duly registered as a government property.
Use of government vehicles by members of the family and other unauthorized passengers are strictly prohibited.
