Cuas laud nutrition catalysts for outstanding performances

Cabarroguis, Quirino (December 7) -- The two respectable, architect for the development of Quirino province, and known as amiable political leaders in Cagayan Valley and the country lauded the efforts made by nutrition advocates and workers for garnering numerous recognitions and appreciations in implementing nutrition program in Cagayan Valley.

Governor Junie E. Cua, in his response during the Joint Regional and Provincial Nutrition Awarding Ceremony held in this town yesterday and having Quirino as Most Outstanding province in implementing the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition PPAN), said that each achievements garnered by everyone (BNSs, LGUs) would serve as inspiration to do better if not best.

Governor Cua challenged the nutrition awardees to strive to do their best not for the award but to addressed the basic problem of malnutrition.

The young Cua, on the other hand, who is the former Governor now Congressman in the province of Quirino Dakila Carlo E. Cua, expressed his elation for inviting him as keynote speaker during the awarding ceremony.

He acknowledged the awardees for their sincerity to serve their respective areas in addressing malnutrition.

Cua cited the improvements of malnutrition situation in the region acknowledging the efforts of Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNSs) who dedicatedly work hard to improve malnutrition in the region.

He also acknowledged local government officials, barangays leaders and employees who closely watched and addressed the needs of their malnourished constituents that lessen the entire region's malnourished children.

Cua told to awardees, local officials and all concerned government agencies to continue what they have started and work harder to fully addressed the malnutrition problem in Cagayan Valley. (PIA Isabela) [top]
