DOLE-2 to release wage order for Cagayan Valley next year

Santiago City, Isabela (December 7) -- The Cagayan Valley's Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will release next year a wage order intended to workers in the region as the agency is making rounds of consultations in different corners of Cagayan Valley to come up with a desirable wage increase both form the employers and the employees.
DOLE-2 Regional Director Grace Ursua, who made a visit to this premier city of Cagayan Valley, said that the agency is busy going around the region and getting the pulse of workers' and employers' suggestions if there are reasonable wage increase to be implemented in the region.
The agency has already conducted series of consultations in the provinces of Cagayan, Isabela and next would be the provinces of Quirino and Nueva Vizcaya after the City of Santiago.
She said that there will be conducted final consultation and face off with employers and employees on December 20 in Tuguegarao City together with the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) to finally agree on the reasonable wage increase for Cagayan Valley.
The set final consultation will be conducted to hear both the employers and employees opinions and arguments and agree to a desirable and reasonable wage increase that will be released by the RTWB.
Other regions in the country has already made wage orders of a variety of increases intended for their regions.
