2 minors victims of reckless imprudence
La Trinidad, Benguet (9 December) -- Two six year old kids are the latest victims of cases of reckless imprudence in the region.
Joshua Villegas Ramos, a kindergarten pupil of Cosili West, Bangued, Abra was crossing the street at about 10:15 AM of December 7, when he was accidentally bumped by a passenger jeep driven by a certain Christopher Tamo Dela Cruz,30, married and a resident of Wayya, Velasco, Tayum, Abra.
Ramos was immediately rushed to the Saint James Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
PSupt Leon Talleo, Chief Information Officer of the Cordillera Regional Police Office, said the driver surrendered to the Bangued municipal police station.
At about 11:00 of the same day in Samoki, Bontoc, Mountain Province, Desere Ann Fang-asan, was bumped by a tricycle driven by 23 year old Simeon Pumecha, Victim suffered fracture on the left knee and is now confined at the Bontoc General Hospital.
Investigation disclosed that six year old Desere and her father, a policeman, were crossing the national road along Samoki when she was bumped by the tricycle resulting to her injury.
Meanwhile, the Bontoc Municipal Police Office is now implementing the provision of the municipal traffic Code particularly'one side' parking along the national road within the Central business area of Bontoc from 7Am to 5M from Monday to Friday.
