Officials, NGOs lead Caraga tree-planting

BUTUAN CITY (October 2) -- City Mayor Democrito Plaza II, together with the Agusan del Norte Medical Society, Butuan Medical Center, and Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) recently spearheaded the tree planting activity outside the Butuan Medical Center building at Barangay Tiniwisan, this city.

In his message, Mayor Plaza bared the aim and purpose of the tree planting.

Mayor Plaza said the planting of trees in the vacant area outside the Butuan Medical Center will help prevent pollution and will also provide the patients and the residents fresh air near the area.

Also participated during the tree planting activity were Dr. Monton of Agusan del Norte Medical Society was present, also with Dr. Wilfredo Dulo, Hospital Director of Butuan Medical Center, Asst. Hospital Director Dr. Joyce Hidalgo, DENR City Enro Officer Engr. Eddie Chan, Hon. Dino Sanchez, and former City Mayor Daisy Plaza. (PIA-13) [top]
