BUTUAN CITY (October 2) -- Three health centers of this city located in Barangay Ampayon, Barangay Obrero, and Barangay Libertad warn the public against the spread of dengue.
According to City Health Officer Dr. Primo Lazarte, from January to December last year, out of 337 cases of Dengue recorded, 11 died. From January to September this year, out of 61 cases recorded, 2 died.
"Among the three main health centers mentioned above, Barangay Obrero got the highest number of cases affected by Dengue, followed by Barangay Libertad and Barangay Ampayon," Lazarte said.
Lazarte further said that in order to prevent the spread of Dengue, people must observe cleanliness by disposing their garbages properly, and storing water in the container with cover so that mosquitoes will have no place to stay. (PIA-13) [top]
