Davao dep't heads to visit major cities this month

Davao City (3 October) -- Davao City Administrator Wendel E. Avisado said department heads of the city government are slated to visit major cities in the Philippines.
In an interview with Administrator Avisado during the recently-concluded Retirees Awarding ceremony, he explained that different heads of the city government would witness best practices in visiting these key cities throughout the Philippines as part of the re-engineering process undertaken by City Hall.
Starting October 2 (Monday), various department heads of City Hall will be visiting key cities like Makati, Pasay, Quezon City, Marikina which is aimed at network-thinking and sharing the successful programs of each cities.
Visits to key cities would enhance capability-building among heads of offices of the city and gather information on policies and successful programs of the local government units which might be applicable to Davao to make efficient and better deliver social services to the people, Avisado said.
Meanwhile, Assistant city administrator Erwin P. Alparaque said daily operations of various offices at City Hall will not be affected even in the absence of its heads of offices. Official operations and functions will go on "as is" and its daily services to the public will remain as usual. (PIA-XI) [top]
