Cagayan, Isabela studes win in 2006 regional tourism quiz

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (3 October) -- Students from Cagayan and Isabela provinces won this year's Regional Tourism Quiz Bee (RTQB) which was held September 28 at the Ammungan Hall here.

Harold Carag of Cagayan National High School (CNHS) in Tuguegarao City and Allan Agpuon of Philippine Normal University (PNU) in Alicia, Isabela were adjudged as first placers in the secondary and tertiary levels respectively.

Other winners in the secondary level were: Rommel Royce Cadapan of Gadu High School in Cagayan North, 2nd place; Jan Jefferson Quemado of University of La Salette in Santiago City (3rd place); Nome Baucel of Solano High School (4th place) and Kathleen Joy Garcia of Isabela National High School (5th place).

For the tertiary level, the other winners were Jan Benedick Udani of St. Paul University in Tuguegarao City(2nd place), Brillian tomas of Nueva Vizcaya State University in Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya campus(3rd place) and Jovy Dioquiso of PSCC in Santiago City(4th place).

The RTQB is a yearly event in celebration of the National Tourism Week from September 20 - 27 to develop tourism awareness among the youth.

This year's RTQB was hosted by the province of Nueva Vizcaya with the theme "Tourism enriches". (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
