General Santos City observes Consumer Welfare Month
General Santos City (3 October) -- With the theme "Enforcing Consumer Rights towards a Progressive Philippines," the Consumer Welfare Group of DTI-Gensan together with their partner agencies in this city have already identified activities to be conducted for the consumer welfare month (CWM).
Business establishments in the city are encouraged to participate in the government-initiated sales promotion activity dubbed as "Mababang Presyo Alay sa Mamimili." Also in partnership with a broadcast network, ABS-CBN Gensan will allot airtime to feature various consumer tips. General public may take a time to watch, thru the local morning show, the featuring of consumerism on October 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31.
On October 5, 2006, there will be training on consumer laws for the city's local price coordinating council. The session will be held in the DTI conference room.
