NVizcaya launches product seal
BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (4 October) -- The Provincial Product Identity Seal (PPIS) of the Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) here was recently launched in a bid to promote the distinct identity of various local products emanating from this province.
The PPIS was featured during the provincial One Town, One Product (OTOP) trade fair in Metro Manila dubbed NV Goes to Alabang – Proudly Vizcayano at the Festival Supermall, Filinvest Corporate City in Alabang, Muntinlupa City from August 25 to September 3.
The PPIS is a symbolic embodiment of the ingenuity and creativity of Novo Vizcayanos and the good image of the province.
Ma. Salvacion Castillejos, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) provincial director said the logo was conceptualized to represent the Vizcayanos’ traits and achievements and the province’s terrain.
“The features of the seal which comes in sticker labels for processed food products as well as fruits and vegetables and hang tags for furniture and handicrafts and what each represent and depict – the colors used, the shape, the fonts of the letters and the provincial map connotes quality where one is assured of its superior standards,” Castillejos said.
The product identity seal is in support of the OTOP program of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo which will be used by the various SMEs in Nueva Vizcaya specially when selling their products outside the province.
The implementation of the branding project through the adoption of the PPIS was initiated by the DTI provincial office-Business Development Group, the provincial government and the congressional office here. (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
