Tampakan life saver gets training on first aid refresher course
Koronadal, South Cotabato (4 October) -- 16 members of the Tampakan life saver completed the first aid refresher course conducted at the Competence Center of the Sagittarius mines, Inc. (SMI) recently.
Organized by the Safety and Health Team of SMI led by Safety and Environment Inspector Dominic C. Domondon the training is aimed at refreshing the knowledge and skills of life saver or responders for achieving an effective application of first aid.
The training also enhanced the respondents the new technique in giving first aid especially in the field of Cardio Pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), Rescue Breathing (RB), Extrication, Triage, Airway Obstruction Management and guidelines in giving emergency care.
The two day refresher course was handled by accredited instructors from the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC), Tampakan Council and PNRC staff from Koronadal City led by Sherwin Teker who stressed on the role and responsibilities of the participants.
Highlighting the two-day training was the stimulating exercises on vehicular and fire accident at the public market of this town that captured the attention of the market vendors and the general public. (EAV/PIA 12) [top]
