Groups avail of CDO farmerís field school
Cagayan de Oro City (4 October) -- To help animal raisers learn on proper management and new technologies, the City Veterinary Office (CVO) conducted a series of livestock farmerís field school involving different groups of farmers in the city.
Dr. Perla Asis, CVO officer-in-charge disclosed that they have conducted seminar/orientation on the production and management of swine, cattle and poultry to retiring members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines assigned in the 4th Infantry Division in Camp Evangelista, this city.
The classes, participated in by 58 backyard farmers enrolled from 15 different barangays of the city, started on September 23 and will end on the 2nd week of December while the 2nd batch of the swine production and management class started on September 18 and ends on the 2nd week of December, this year.
Dr. Asis pointed out that they have to update the knowledge of the farmers in order for them to maximize their resources and learning experience. (City Information Office/RAGCOM) [top]
