Tago municipal jail awarded best for the year

Tandag, Surigao del Sur (October 5) -- The municipal jail of Tago is proclaimed Municipal Jail of the Year 2006 under the management of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Caraga Region.
In a radio interview, Tago Jail Chief SJO3 Richard Gamale said jail, reported the municipal jail of Tago got the honor passing the criteria on operational aspects, incidence of jailbreaks, violations of human rights among the inmates and the relations between local government officials including the Philippine National Police.
SJO3 Gamale is also thankful of the continued support of LGU-Tago like the establishment of a separate female and male cells and other support that had contributed to the effectiveness and smooth jail management.
According to SJO3 Gamale, Tago Municipal Jail defeated 19 other Municipal Jails in the region under the BJMP.
He assured to uphold the honor and expressed readiness on regular and surprise visits of their office. (PIA-Surigao del Sur) [top]
