Butuan sets solid waste management workshop

Butuan City (October 6) -- The City Interior and Local Government (CILG) of Butuan in partnership with the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), is spearheading a two-day solid Waste Management Workshop which opened yesterday, October 5 and will run until today, October 6.

According to DILG City Director Arlene Sanchez, the activity will be participated by barangay officials of this city who are the key players in the implementation of solid waste management in their respective barangays.

Dir. Sanchez added that after the workshop, the officials are expected to implement the program in their respective places in line with the campaign of the city government to have a clean and green environment, which is also one of the priority projects of the Arroyo administration. (PIA-13) [top]
