Tagoloan town continues food, health support to victims of typhoon Neneng

Cagayan de Oro City (7 October) -- The Municipal government of Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental continues to attend to the food and health needs of the typhoon Neneng victims housed at the barangay hall-turned evacuation center in Natumulan, said Mayor Bambi Emano, who heads the Municipal Disaster Coordinating Council (MDCC).

As of October 4, a total of 64 families were affected by flashfloods.

As of now, damage to agricultural cops is estimated at P1.065-Million but could be higher once personnel from the Department of Agriculture (DA) wrap-up their on-site inspection activities.

The newly-rehabilitated barangay road that connects barangay El Salvador to sitio Maribojoc was rendered impassable following a landslide.

Tagoloan continues vigilance against future calamities

After being hit by flashfloods brought by typhoon Neneng last October 2-4, along with four other towns in Misamis Oriental, the Tagoloan Municipal Disaster Coordinating Council (MDCC) continues to be vigilant against future calamities that usually come in the last quarter of every year.

Mayor Bambi Emano said his MDCC has been conducting continuing education and drills down to the barangay level.

“Five percent of our financial resources are allotted annually to the calamity fund, ready for disbursement in any disaster to ensure speedy response,” said Emano. (PIA 10) [top]
