CVO bares sked of Oro schools under rabies and bird flu campaign
Cagayan de Oro City (7 October) -- In its campaign to intensify awareness on rabies and bird flu among school children, the City Veterinary Office (CVO) bares the following schools and their dates of visit in their year-long information and education campaign (IEC) in public elementary schools in the city.
October 9-West City Central School (Carmen), October 16-North City Central School (Puntod), October 23-South City Central School (Nazareth), October 30- East City Central School (Lapasan), November 6-Bulua Elementary School, November 13-Patag Elementary School, November 20-Iponan Elementary School, November 27-Gusa Elementary School, December 4-Cugman Elementary School, December 11-Tablon Elementary School- January 8-Agusan Elementary School, January 14-Puerto Elementary School, January 22-Bugo Elementary School, January 29-Macasandig Elementary School, February 5-Balulang Elementary School, February 12-Kauwagan Elementary School, February 19-Bonbon Elementary School, February 26-Bayabas Elementary School, March 5-Macabalan Elementary School, March 12-San Simon Elementary School, March 19- Pagatpat Elementary School and Canitoan Elementary School.
Dr. Perla Asis, CVO officer-in-charge revealed that the IEC campaign on bird flu and rabies targets the Grade 5 and Grade 6 pupils of the said public schools.
The IEC campaign hopes to lessen the incidents of rabies infection among school children who are most susceptible to dog bite as well as bird flu infection. (City Information Office/RAGCOM) [top]
