LTFRB hints at possible fare rollback next month
Quezon City (9 October) -- The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is considering the rollback of fares next month following the continuous reduction in prices of petroleum products recently, the GMA Network’s "Unang Hirit" morning newscast reported Monday.
LTFRB chairperson Maria Elena Bautista said the agency already has a price mechanism in mind but she cannot reveal it now because she still has to hold consultations with public transport groups, the report said.
Bautista is optimistic the transport groups would not oppose the fare rollback, the report added. (PIA) [top]
