NYD-SK to intensify campaign vs illegal drugs

Davao City (10 October) -- "SAY NO TO DRUGS". Be Smart. Don't Start.
Drug addiction is a very serious problem and Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is serious in attainingr a drug-free Davao City.
The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) is also serious in conducting Anti-Smoking and Anti-Drug Abuse campaign in various campuses here.
Philippine Womens College (PWC) students were the recipient of the said forum last October 6, PWC Audio-Visual room.
"The most vulnerable victims are the youth", said one of the speakers, retired Police Captain Revencia Abad.
It was stressed that the seminar was conducted to encourage students not to get involve with it.
Speakers then gave exact basis of information, and even presented videos about the campaign, reminding students about illegal drugs' ill-effects.
The organizers expect the attendees to respond to it smartly and positively.
Part of the program is National Youth Day (NYD) promo where representatives showed the promo video for the student's to be oriented, too.
"It's good to note that the church and the civic youth collaborate with each other towards a common goal- to alleviate the youth from problems confronting them", said one participant. (NYD/PIA XI) [top]
