Arroyo gov't vows to hunt down, bring to justice Mindanao bombers
Manila (11 October) -- Press Secretary and Presidential Spokesman Ignacio Bunye echoed the Palace's sympathies to the families of the victims of the recent dastardly bombing in Mindanao and vowed that the Arroyo government will make sure that the perpetrators are hunted down and brought to justice.
"President Arroyo has instructed the PNP and the AFP to team up in the probe of these bombings. We are also asking the GRP-MILF ceasefire committees and joint action group to assist in the identification and interdiction of the bombers."
So said Bunye in a regular media briefing at Malacanang.
Likewise, the Chief Executive has also alerted the Local Government Units (LGUs) and directed them to implement their respective contingency and anti-terrorism networks and plans.
"The fight against terror is everybody's business. We have faced these threats in the past and we shall continue to neutralize them with full public vigilance and participation," Bunye added. (PIA-MMIO) [top]
