CSC 8 resets supervisory dev't course
Tacloban City (October 12) -- The Civil Service Commission (CSC) Regional Office 8 announced that the Supervisory Development Course which was originally scheduled for October 23 - 27, 2006 has been reset to November 6-10, 2006, at the Ritz Tower de Leyte in Tacloban City.
Assistant Regional Director Marilyn Taldo said that the postponement of the training is due to the non-availability of the resource speakers. She added that this will give time to those agencies which have not yet sent in their nominations in the earlier schedule, to nominate their participants.
The program, she said, is a follow up of SDC Track 1 and it aims to upgrade the managerial and supervisory knowledge and skills of first line supervisors in responding to the requirements of their job.
Atty. Taldo emphasized that only those who have been through the Supervisory Development Course 1 will be accepted to participate in the Supervisory Development Course Tracks 2 and 3.
She enjoined those qualified to attend the training in order to be able to complete the course. A registration fee of four thousand five hundred pesos (P4,500.00) per participant will be collected to defray the expenses for materials, venue rental, honoraria of Resource Speakers and other incidental expenditures.
Atty. Taldo advised the participating agencies that in case of payment of registration fee through check, the same should be made payable to the Civil Service Commission Regional Office 8.
Those who would like to join the course may get nomination forms from the Civil Service Commission Regional Office 8 and submit the same not later than October 27, 2006.
