Palace calls for vigilance amidst renewed bombings
Manila (12 October) -- "We must keep alert but clam and sober in the face of these renewed bombings (in Mindanao)."
So said Press Secretary and Presidential Spokesman Ignacio Bunye, adding that security is now being beefed-up in all potential targets.
"We all know that the most important linchpin in the fight against terror is the vigilance of the people themselves."
Meanwhile, the Palace has urged anew the Senate to prioritize the passage of the anti-terror bill for the Philippine security forces to be given more teeth and a better fighting chance in dealing with the remaining terror cells in the country.
He added that officials of the land should not put more lives at risk when they can do something now about the threat posed by terrorists. (PIA-MMIO) [top]
