Palace: Arroyo trip to Mindanao to push through
Quezon City (13 October) -- President Arroyo is visiting Mindanao later this month despite a spate of bombings in three cities in Mindanao this week, Presidential Chief of Staff Michael Defensor said.
Defensor said Mrs. Arroyo is unfazed by the terrorist threat. He added, however, that the President was advised against visiting the victims of the explosion in Tacurong, Sultan Kudarat, since the terror suspects have yet to be captured.
He reiterated Malacananís call for the passage of the anti-terrorism bill to curb the violence in the country and avoid a series of explosions in the south which killed at least 12 people. (PIA) [top]
