Military to alleged putschists: ‘You have to face the music’
Quezon City (13 October) -- THE MILITARY welcomed the filing of rebellion charges against officers and civilians allegedly behind a failed coup d'etat in late February, saying they will finally be made to "face the music," a spokesman said Friday.
Major General Jose Angel Honrado expressed confidence that police investigators have "strong evidence" against the suspected putschists, which include ex-Marine commandant Major General Renato Miranda, Army Brigadier General Danilo Lim, and Marine Colonel Ariel Querubin.
"This goes to show that if you fall out of line within what's allowed by law, you will be made to face the consequence," Honrado told reporters in Camp Aguinaldo.
"There is no reason for you to dilly-dally, if the evidence says you are guilty so be it. You have to face the music," he added. (PIA) [top]
